Today Waverly Place faces a struggle for historic preservation and continues to tell the story of New York’s dignified history.  Christopher Street - Visit historic landmarks such as Saint Vincent’s Hospital where Jack Kerouac was treated for barroom brawling, Edna St. Vincent Millay took her name and where Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, died. Uncle Sam’s New York also brings you to Tiles for America, the somber site where all victims of the September 11th attacks have received tiles for permanent remembrance and the Village Vanguard, the oldest continuously used jazz club in New York. Bleecker Street - A great place for people watching, shopping, and most importantly, food, Bleecker Street is arguably one of the most lively and colorful parts of New York. As an institution for the New York film scene and home to New York’s famous Little Italy, Bleecker Street offers some of the best all-around culture and lively experiences one finds in New York. West 3rd Street - Come and experience the actual site where Edgar Allen Poe lived and wrote some of his most famous works on New York’s West 3rd St. For any literary buff, this is the one of the most significant and historic places for the romanticism movement.
