Italian Cuisine & Live Music at Times Square's Bond 45

Times Square’s Bond 45 serves theatre-goers, sightseers, and locals alike. Recently reopened at the Hotel Edison, this Italian steakhouse stays open, breakfast until late-night, for the bustling crowds in the area. Read on for what to expect at Bond 45!

Bond 45: Location

Bond 45

The name Bond 45 comes from Bond Clothing Store, the restaurant’s original location and a mainstay of 45th Street from 1948 to 1977. In 2017 the restaurant reopened at its new, two-story location. This massive space—which includes an antipasto bar, performance area, and private event room—welcomes you, whatever New York occasion you’re celebrating.

Pre-theatre diners will receive fast, friendly service at this location close to Broadway shows. Speaking of Broadway, the sparkling Edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling and other interior elements were chosen by Hamilton scenic designer David Korins, who worked on the reopen at this location.

Bond 45: Live Music

Thursday through Sunday, listen to live music while you enjoy your Italian dinner. The music starts at 6pm and ends at midnight, adding to the ambiance as you tuck into your Veal Milanese and tiramisu. If you’re around past 9pm, you’ll also have a late night happy hour to look forward to.

Mondays, there’s even more music. The Shelly & Friends Revue is a Bond 45 tradition, featuring house band DJ & The Yams, starting up weekly at 8pm. There’s no cover or minimum, and you’ll be jazzed to learn that it coincides with late-night happy hour at 9pm. Better yet, diners with musical chops are invited to join the band during the open mic portion of the evening!

Bond 45 specializes in hearty helpings of Italian classics. That means Chicken Piccata Milanese, lasagna, and Veal Parmigiana. Thin-crust pizzas and veggies from the antipasto bar are also available at lunch, brunch, and dinner.

The antipasto bar is a signature feature of the restaurant, on display near the entrance. It offers healthy, delicious options (many of them gluten-free). Grilled asparagus, a vegetable tart, eggplant parmesan, and grilled corn are all available, in addition to seasonal veggies. Create samplers of three or five of these dishes, whether to share with your table or eat as an entree.

The steak menu at Bond 45 also stands out for its USDA Prime, dry-aged cuts. Select among Delmonico ribeye, New York strip, and filet mignon, all served with bacon potatoes. The kitchen also serves fine a Wagyu strip, domestically sourced, buttery, and perfectly marbled.

Have breakfast or brunch at Bond 45 to sample New York legend Tony Bennett’s namesake French toast. This special preparation features chocolate, pecans, and strawberries on your toast, plus a drizzle of maple syrup. You can also order your eggs with an Italian spin, like the Bella Benedict with Italian ham, burrata mozzarella cheese, and parmesan hollandaise. At brunch, Bond 45 also offers entrees like Little Gem Caesar salad, margherita pizza, and a double bacon cheeseburger with cacio e pepe fries.
