"Feeling Here" Art Exhibit Reception Curated By BronxWorks Artist-in-Residence Francis Palazzolo
Feeling Here is a group art exhibition at Boricua College Gallery, Bronx Campus, from Thursday 4 May to Saturday 27 May. Nine artists are featured: Terrenceo Hammonds, Ronald Glover, Manny Rodriguez, Ganesh Budwah, Rick S, Christine Murray, Carlos Santana, Peter Jimenez and Francis Palazzolo. They share their lived experiences and emotions through thirty drawings, paintings, and sculptures.
During the pandemic and beyond, each artist participated in event programming from BronxWorks artist-in-residence Francis Palazzolo. The artists focused on the complexity of sensations. They created what they feel, capturing richness and vividness. Their individual and co-created art explores the variety of ways that they represent, influence, transform and reside in their communities.
On Thursday 11 May, from 5:30 - 7:30, there will be an opening celebration for all to attend. Back by popular demand, a second participatory art workshop will be held on 25 May from 2:30 - 4:30 pm. This group exhibition offers opportunities for people confronting isolation to mend the social fabric through art.
BronxWorks is a human service organization and settlement house based in the Bronx, New York City.
