Following a standing room only sold out 3-show Rockwood Residency recently, Jessica is back with her world class band performing live in the Main Room! She finds a graceful, sweet spot between raw emotional power and intimate subtlety in her live performances, and as well on her rocking new recordings ("Blood Moon") and just released acoustic project and debut—the four track EP For You–three beautiful and heartfelt original songs inspired by and dedicated to her father, Robert A. Altman. Considering her admiration for her dad and passion for education, it made perfect sense for Jessica to attend law school at Michigan. Her mom is the iconic Lynda Carter, and there was naturally a strong feminine role model throughout her childhood inspiring her to do whatever she set her mind to. The amalgamation of creativity from her mother and the intellectualism from her father allowed Jessica to simultaneously pursue music and law. Understanding Jessica’s childhood passion for music is another key to understanding just why, despite her profound respect for the legal profession, she had to shift gears and pursue her music career full time. Her dedication to songwriting continued throughout the pandemic, working on new music with Jason Lehning, Palmer Lee, Latifah Alattas, and Jabe Beyer. Jessica’s powerful, yet graceful artistry has landed her guest performances and features on The Talk, the TODAY Show and Forbes Magazine. Her music and shows have been covered in People Magazine (along with being a People Magazine "One To Watch"), Page Six, Time Out, NY Post, and Entertainment Tonight’s “New Music Friday.” Her songs have been featured in Apple Music's “New In Singer Songwriter” and “Breaking SingerSongwriter” playlists as well as on the “New Tunesmiths and Troubadours” playlist on Pandora. She is currently recording and releasing more new music.
