“Asteroid City” Pop-up at Alamo Drafthouse Lower Manhattan
For the next 2 weeks guests are invited to visit the sights of ASTEROID CITY at Alamo Drafthouse Lower Manhattan with themed decorations, costume displays, limited-edition collectibles, and more.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and visionary director Wes Anderson invite fans to a faithful recreation of ASTEROID CITY at Alamo Drafthouse Lower Manhattan. The cinema-eatery’s lobby and bar are unrecognizable after being transformed into the titular town for a unique, immersive experience. The theater’s entryway has been fully wrapped in art from the film and guests can explore the sights of ASTEROID CITY upon entering, including a replica of the Arid Plains Meteorite, an alien-themed gift shop, an Asteroid Day-themed bar, a costume display, and multiple photo opportunities that pulled them into Wes Anderson’s vision of the fantastical desert town. This one-of-a-kind experience is free and open to the public from June 13th to June 26th.
