We didn't want poetry to feel like schoolwork but instead something spontaneous you could create together with friends—whether or not you’ve ever really tried your hand at poetry before.

What was super important to us was designing a game that would be both fun and challenging for any kind of player from the poetry-hesitant to die-hards who spend their Sunday afternoons composing haikus and sonnets.

In our game, it’s not about who wrote the best poem but about rescuing real Dead Poets from obscurity–and everybody gets to take home their own poem at the end.
