PRIDE: The House Party
Live Arts’ Pride: The House Party epic celebration embodies and honors the historical importance and unwavering power of houses, collectives, and chosen family in LGBTQIA culture. Both legendary and young families from NYC’s queer nightlife and art scene come together under one roof to serve up the city’s most colorful and fierce performance, music, queer marketplace, installations and more for a multi-space, nonstop celebration for the ages.
Live Arts Pride is dedicated to and in honor of Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company Co-founder, Arnie Zane. Donations can be made to New York Live Arts in Zane’s name.
Live Arts warmly welcomes the ingenious collectives Double Dutch Dreamz Jumping for Justice w/ Miz Jade, Legends of Drag, and Yas Mama to activate all Live Arts spaces including the lobby, studios, and main stage theater. These expressive, loving families share their distinct voices in back-to-back sets featuring a mix of jumping rope, music, drag, and more
